Larson Financial Foundation’s Global Impact: The African Christian University Farm
Posted on February 23, 2024
Located in the heart of Zambia’s capital is a beacon of sustainable agriculture and community empowerment. The Larson Financial Foundation is dedicated to global philanthropy, and we’re excited to contribute to the establishment and growth of this transformative initiative.
Investment Details
The Foundation provided support for the construction of three greenhouses and the essential startup capital. We are thrilled to share the first harvests of cucumbers, red and yellow peppers, cherry tomatoes, are coming to fruition, and the farm is projected to turn a profit by the end of 2024.
Future Prospects
The Larson Financial Foundation remains committed to the farm’s ongoing success. Future plans include reviewing the need for shade netting over select crops, enhancing the potential to produce higher value produce like cauliflower.
Additionally, the university is expanding its agricultural capabilities by installing water tanks to effectively double the amount of arable land at their disposal.
By fostering sustainable agriculture and economic development, Larson Financial Foundation’s involvement in the African Christian University Farm exemplifies our dedication to making a meaningful impact in communities worldwide. Together, we’re cultivating a brighter future for all.
