One of the live-changing projects the Larson Financial Foundation helped sponsor in 2024 was a new, clean water system for the Maasai Girls Rescue Center (MGRC) in Tanzania. This project helps supports the health and sustainability of the center and its residents.

Recently, the MGRC provided an update on the impact this water system is having in their community.

Addressing a Critical Need: Clean Water for MGRC

For many of us, access to clean water is something we take for granted. However, for the girls at MGRC, water scarcity had been a daily challenge. The government-supplied water was unreliable, often shutting off for days at a time. This forced the MGRC to purchase water at an overwhelming cost of up to $100 per day – a very significant financial strain.

With a grant from the Larson Financial Foundation, MGRC was able to implement a secure and sustainable clean water system, ensuring a consistent and safe water supply. This project has been a true game-changer. Not only does the new system provide drinking water, but it also supports essential operations such as farming, cooking, and hygiene.
